Debate??!! There's no debate! When your 14 Trillion dollars in debt you don't take on more debt, you make massive cuts. And, if you want to get yourself out of debt by encouraging commerce the last thing you want to do is raise taxes. If anything taxes should be lowered as an incentive. In fact, in the current situation that America finds itself in, company taxes should be heavily reduced and individual taxes for owner directors of high growth companies should be knocked right down to 0%.

And what about cuts. Will they hurt? Of course they will! It is likely that social services and healthcare will be hit particularly badly, so now is the time for individual Americans as well as companies to ramp up their charitable donations.

Excellent remedy for a seeminly ailing economy. Some of Mitt's ideas are so good that no doubt a clever chap like President Obama will see wisdom in incorporating them into his own policies. This might me a smart move especially if Barak Obama wants to avoid the potential problems of gridlock.
